July 30: Melody's Traditional Music and Friends Present: Dulcimers 4
Dawgs
A sweetsong musical fundraiser benefiting three dog rescue groups in
the
Houston area: Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue, Afghan Hound
Rescue
of Greater Houston, and Pals for Pooches! Join us for hours of great
dulcimer music, volunteered by Suzanne Campling, Mary Radspinner, the
North
Harris County Dulcimer Society, and more! You'll hear mountain
dulcimers,
hammered dulcimers, Irish flutes, harps, and Autoharps played by
Houston's
finest! We'll have hot dogs (appropriately), items for sale from each
group,
some fabulous silent auction items, information about the rescue
groups, and
a whole lot of fun! There will even be "dog art" - made by the crafty
pooches themselves! Available adoptees will be on hand to shake, give
paws
and kisses. Join us for this good cause! Admission is free, donations
are
gratefully accepted. It's for the Dawgs!!!
